The Intruder

In the afternoon, when I was standing near my window, two pigeons on the roof of the building opposite mine attracted my attention. What they were doing was totally alien to me, but it looked like mating. It's a sad thing that birds and other non-homosapiens have no proper place to call a 'bedroom'. And many 'thoughts' came to my mind. Never mind. We can talk about it some other time. Coming back to the topic; I moved closer to my window. It was getting interesting. The way one pigeon sat with a majestic posture and the way the other was trying to get onto the first one was amazing to see.

Just then, a third pigeon (probably male) entered the scene. It came close the 1st male and tried pushing him off the female. And he even seceded in his task. The 1st male made a loud sound. I feel it was the pain of separation from his love. Furiously they both started fluttering their wings and (I guess) started hitting each other. A punch there and a flying wind attack here. Both showed off their fighting skills and tried to impress the female. The fight continued for some more time. Some more muscles were flexed and some more feathers were shed.

"Hi honey. I was hoping that you would come. Those freaks were bugging me." would the female pigeon have said while taking off towards the 3rd male pigeon on the adjoining roof. "Let's go home." replied the 3rd male. And they both departed the scene leaving the first two pigeons in total bewilderment.

Mmm, what a great ending. ;) So cool that you actually got to see this, too! There's just too many trees and hiding places around where I'm living to see anything interesting.
